Well I’ve finally located some junk yards for the parts I’m looking for and jammin to some trad doom, which is best doom.

Finally I can go on vacation from a certain project till it’s actually announced later. Paper work paper work and so many other damn projects now to do. 

That and I’m tired of seeing one particular scandal and extremely unprofessional behavior. What a PR nightmare and I pity those guys. Man let it go.

I need a beer.

What Life throws at ya…

Me and my brewing buddy were driving home from up north from visiting a friend last Monday. It was pitch black and the main highway itself is what I would classify as “deer country” so you can probably see where I’m going with this…

We stayed later than we should so he’s speeding a little more to get home till we both started getting a bad feeling, “Dude, I think we should really take it slow through here..” Slowing down a good deal we came over this little dip at around 45, and then suddenly there… 5 deer all lined up across the road.

No time to react.

He locked up the brakes and slammed into 2 of them. The lights went out in the car and we’re driving blind. I heard 1 deer slam off the hood and off the roof, the other slammed off the other side. Luckily we had enough stop time not to hit the tree. We got out and looked at the damage.

No air bag deployment, it just crushed the hood and blew the radiator (bumper untouched) and the car was still running. So it was the best of a worst case scenario. Had we been cruising like we were…the deer would have went through the windshield and I really don’t want to think about that as it reminds me of that Cabin Fever scene. 

We’re going to break about even fixing the car from a junker, as we just need a hood, headlights, and radiator. After that, it’s brewing time.

Well hey, that’s a deer for each of us opening season. Ain’t so bad.

Going to bed + Lunar Vision

I took some time to update the mixed drink based on Luna for myself… it ends up looking more Nightmare Moon but the old one around the net features Baja Luna which is no longer in production soooo:

1 shot Razzmatazz
1 shot blue curaçao
1/2 shot hpnotiq
Tonic water (fill glass… usually an oz tall glass so like 4oz or so)

put on the rocks and have yourself a Lunar Vision! The flavor profile is a citrusy black raspberry with some bite and bitter from the hpnotiq with a smooth mouthfeel.

Going to have to try this after I get a hold of my buddies Hypnotiq, as I have the blue curacao and tonic water already…least razzmatazz is cheap.

Sounds like an interesting flavor profile. More citrus would definitely balance out all that sugar in the two main liqueurs. I would actually add perhaps 1oz of lemon juice in the mix, it goes decent with black raspberry profiles and the other fruits. Not to sure on that, I’d have to experiment. A non sugary component should be mingling.  Tonic water is interesting,  its not too bitter, but sparkling mineral water would be a better substitute. Definitely stir well as if stirring a Mojito. Fill a 16oz tumblr with crushed ice and pour over, adding mineral water last. OR…

This drink might be more apt to be shaken. Can’t shake carbonated water as it ruins it, but pour in a martini glass and garnish with a complementary fruit, just use less proportions so it’s not sugar shock to the system.

I should consult my drink manual…
